Our company founder, James M. Cox, knew only the telegraph in his early days.

Now, Cox Communications is a broadband communications and entertainment company, providing advanced digital, video, high-speed Internet, home security and automation, and telephone services over our own IP network. We are the largest, privately-held telecommunications company in the U.S. serving approximately six million homes and businesses.

In 2014, we extended ultra-high speed (gigabit) Internet service to select homes, with a goal of delivering it to all customers nationwide.
